Hire Charges
The Burtle Village Hall Management Committee (BVHMC) have revised and updated the hire charges for the hall, revised May 2024.
The BVHMC tries to maintain the hall in a clean and tidy state at all times. All hirers are expected to leave the hall, kitchen and toilets in a clean and tidy state.
The Hall can accommodate 100 people seated in theatre style or at tables. There is sufficient crockery and cutlery for 100 people. For stand-up events/dances the maximum capacity is 300 people.
Main Hall (includes Meeting Room)
Includes limited use of kitchen area, kettles, fridge, crockery and cutlery. Hire is required for cooking/use of ovens/dishwasher – please contact the Bookings Secretary for pricing.
£12 per hour
£40 Half day session (4 hours)
£75 Full day session (8 hours)
£120 Weekend evening session (6pm-midnight, Friday and Saturday nights only)

Bar
A licensed bar is available (dependent on availability of BVH volunteers to staff the bar). Hirers may request specific wines, beers and other drinks to be ordered specially for an event. However, a minimum of 2 weeks-notice is required and any unsold stock of specific items may be charged to the hirer.
No alcohol may be served or consumed at any event held in the hall that is NOT purchased from the bar.
No alcohol may be consumed on the premises by any person under the age of 18.
Notes:
- Session and day rates include use of Robin Howell meeting room
- Rates do not include any grace period, all preparation and tidying away must be completed within the session time
- Payment may be in cash, or bank transfer, no cheques
- Please note we are also able to take card and contactless payments for bookings and behind the bar.
